What is going on time to shine today varsity squad. Let’s get into our podcast number 30 be a human being instead of always a human doing. This is Scott Ferguson. Let’s level up.

Hey time to shine to J. varsity squad and freaky fanatics is just a gorgeous day here in South Florida and it is early in the morning and I just can’t wait to get out on my paddleboard. So I wanted to get this podcast out to because when I am out in nature or paddleboarding or boogie boarding or whatnot, it is my time to connect with my Creator, my God, my silence, my time to just relax and get away from all of the hoopla that is going on in this world. What I’m finding is that a lot of people don’t take time for themselves to do things that they enjoy. And we were so caught up again, I’m use the word hoopla, but distractions never really being present. Never really internalizing anything that’s good that could be happening around them because they’re so caught up in the distractions. So I’m going to ask you to, at least once a day be a human being, and not just a human doing. Now, I’m not just telling you to exist and not level up, you know, I want you to live and I want you to have fun in progress, but you have to take time to connect with the people that are important to you, to your Creator. You know, I wake up in the morning sometimes, and I am just right in front of my computer and I go I deviate away from my morning routine because I might have overslept. I made a mistake. stake on my sleep hygiene to be able to get in bed early enough and then I’m playing catch up throughout the day. When that happens Scotty turns into adult boy he turns into maybe a little bit moody and he doesn’t really have the day that he wanted to level up. That’s me. I am flawed. And I know that everybody out there is flawed to we are human beings so be a human being. Don’t always be a human doing. Okay, they’re great. Wayne hi XANGO, who was the owner of the Florida Marlins, the owner of the Miami Dolphins. He started Blockbuster Video and waste management. He always said que te L. quality time left. If we’re always busy working, always busy trying to level up only that side of your life. You’re not going to have a full plate of prosperity. You’ve got to level up your relationships.

You got to level up your friendships, you have to level up taking care of your body. And that’s what I do in Dr. To do every day is to level up. Those will call them pillars of my life. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love doing business and I love helping people and I love getting paid well for it in. I’m blessed to have those people including you my listeners, thank you again so so much but I also have to take a step back daily and be a human being. Because I find myself just being a human doing all day. How do I do this and gave you a couple examples paddleboard boogie board walks along the beach, but one thing I do pretty much every day that really gets me into being a human being is spending time with my dog stitch. Stitch was a rescue that I got from Peggy Adams here in South Florida. He was a surrender. I have no idea how anybody could surrender this guy. He’s half Pitbull and half Chinese sharpay mix and he’s full of energy. So if you ever come over to my place, you ready because he’s going to jump on you. He’s going to love you. He’s going to show you what being present in Being a doggy being is all about. So I walk him every morning. We have a 1.2 mile walk that we do. We would love to go further but unfortunately he was born with a birth defect where his one leg is a little bit shorter than the other so he can only do about a mile and I’m pushing him at that mile, you know, a mile and a quarter. But during our walks, there’s no headphones, there’s no distractions. I mean, we’re watching out for traffic because the crazy drivers here in South Florida, but we are just taking in our scenery. We’re being mindful and not mindful. We’re being mindful of where we’re walking, taking in the smells, the sounds of everything here and in beautiful South Florida. And I’ve learned so much from him, my dog, about being a human being taking time away from the hoopla. So during our walk, it’s just kind of a Blank brain. And just being mindful of where I’m at. What’s nice is that after the walk, I can kind of sit in silence, maybe do some Wim Hof breathing exercises, and just relax, and then reflect on how I want my day to go. So I’m taking time for myself by walking my dog, or doing any of the other activities that I said. And it allows me to fire up my day to serve as many people as I can. Okay, and then my reward at the end of the day is spending time with my lady Susan, where we just chill and hang out and connect. I believe that our connection later in the evening because we both work is enhanced by me being a human being and taking time every day to really just reflect and sit in silence. Sometimes when I walk my dog, just be mindful of what I have. So all of that is just kind of spilled out of me by the time Susan and I have our dinner at night and just connect. So I’m going to ask you to be a human being. Don’t Always be out doing i’m not saying take a step back from your grind and your grit, because you know me, I’m that guy to love to get after it. But please take time for yourself. Please rejuvenate. Take some time for silence, where you’re just in reflection. And I promise you, the rest of your day especially if you started early, is going to be fantastic. Alright, varsity squad. Thank you so much for listening to this episode.
