Hey everybody, it’s Scott Ferguson here with timetoshinetoday.com. And I just wanted to give really just a really quick knowledge nuggets that I kind of came up with today or didn’t come up with anything. I should not say that what I do is I wake up every morning and I do my, my gratitude and I listen to what I need to to get me fired up for the day. And I came across a quote from the stoic Marcus Aurelius and I love reading the stocks, it’s hard to understand and decipher. There’s a couple good books out there that can help you with deciphering what they’re saying. And I’ll go over that book a little bit later here in the podcast, but really the what is what’s the easiest way for me to say this is it you know, every day I really strive for for perfection, I know I’ll never achieve it. It’s just something that’s just not going to come. But I think that every day, if you wake up, you do your best, then that means if you set your alarm for 6am, Get the f up at 6am. Fire up, get out of bed. And in just like the Mel Robbins will say, you know, 3-2-1 lift off, gotta get going. You cannot just sit around and wait for life to come to you. I have friends that I served with that were in the Special Ops. And they’ll tell you that they don’t even have to be told to get after they say that the people that actually make it through the training are the people that go out and do it. And that’s the start of trying to achieve perfection every day. Where I really think that there’s absolutely no way you can achieve perfection but my pleasure myself is found in the trying and every single day if I’m Cognizant d0 drop the ball sometimes I’m not going to say that I don’t that I do it right every single time or that I am just the epitome of awesome and getting after it. But every day now, since in probably the past 10 years after I had hit rock bottom, I do get up, I praise my God and i hope that you praise your Creator who you feel that you owe that debt of gratitude to as well I write down 10 things every single day that will get me going forward that will get me understanding that if I start with an attitude of gratitude that I can only get more that will come back to me. And knowing that my law of values every day is serving people waking up with a day of gratitude, or with an attitude of gratitude, excuse me, will actually helped me serve other people.

Thee the quote from Marcus Aurelius habit that goes like this. ‘This is the market perfection of character to spend each day as if it were your last without frenzy, laziness or any pretending’. So basically, my favorite stoic is saying, get up every day. Get off your butt.

And like maybe a little Tim McGraw song. Live like you were dying, right? A bullet fu Manchu. It’s something that’s always kind of resonated with me. I know that every day, when I wake up, it’s if I go to bed at night in it in my day didn’t turn out the way that it should. And trust me, it does a lot, many times, but it’s not for lack of trying. I’m not going to be marked as a lazy guy, somebody that’s just sitting around, hoping for something great to come along. That’s just not me. So I really urge you to get off your butt. And if you don’t know what to do, find some people to be around that are doing it. And put your pride aside, just say, Listen, I really, really want to learn this. I want to know what I want to do, whether you’re a real estate agent, whether your insurance broker, whether you’re a waiter at the restaurant, whether you’re a bartender and you’re just not feeling it, get with people that are feeling it. And surrounding yourself with those people will help you level up and make your day more of a perfection. And I’m kind of on a ramble today. Frankly, I don’t care because I just woke up today, here in sunny South Florida, and I’m just fired up and knowing that I’m not going to be lazy. I’m going to spend every second today trying to improve. And I do that really by finding people that I can serve and people that I can help. So that is my Knowledge Nugget for the day is are we getting a little bit closer to perfection every day, as Lou Holtz The great football coach said even though I can’t stand the teams he’s coached for Notre Dame and being from Michigan, the Michigan State fan can’t stand them as a coach, but the man book winning every day. I think he might even pulled it from Vince Lombardi but basically says that if you are trying for perfection every day, you have to hit greatness. So that’s what I hope you do today. Get up. strive for perfection. We both know that in the back of our minds, it’s probably not going to happen. But that’s okay. Because you’re probably going to hit greatness.
