Hey, time to shine varsity squad at Scott Ferguson. And we are in like, second week of our little quarantine time with the Cova 19, aka a Corona virus. And I just wanted to kind of put out a really quick Knowledge Nugget. A lot of people are forming a lot of anxiety and rightfully so. I mean, there’s a lot of stuff that’s going on a lot of unprecedented stuff with this with this nasty, nasty flu that’s going around. And I know that people, including my clients, including my students, you know, they get a little stir crazy and they’re getting a little anxiety but I really think that a lot of people’s lives lives outside of death or destruction, this might be the worst that it can get. So as you move forward in life, with regards to anxiety and things that you might be facing, I think right now, anything you move forward, it should be a little bit more of a cakewalk, because the anxiety is so high that’s going on with over 70 80% of the people in our country in our world. But I really want to dig just a little bit and I’ll be really quick with this Knowledge Nugget with regards to finding the source of your anxiety. Because anytime your anxiety will, it always goes back to something that you want. And I repeat, every source of anxiety leads back to something that you want, say a father wants for his children a safe world he’ll be he’ll be anxiety about it. Someone that’s scared of flying is going to hope for good weather, perfect travel conditions. No baby crying next to them, etc. You know, somebody A businessman or even like right now that’s an employee. They want a good market, something that they can go out in making return on investment or make or even just make money to make bills. So each one of those from the Father, worrying about his children, some of the scared of flying or traveling and a businessman or employee. It’s all something those scenarios are really generally out of yours and mines control. And when we get that way, we become few tile. We become very anxiety. And we start to worry about stuff that really hasn’t even happened in the worst part of it is worrying about stuff that’s out of our control. Like right now this great equalizer with crona. IRS is that we do not whether you have a gajillion dollars or no money, you’re still not able to go out to restaurants and eat, you’re still not able to do things that you’re normally to do, so we’re all kind of equalized through this. So it just depends on how you’re going to handle that anxiety, constant worrying no matter what is not going to change things. Okay? Again, constant worrying is not going to change things. And you know me, I love to follow the stoics. And one of my favorite stoics is Epictetus. And he says that when he sees an anxious, anxious person, he asks himself, what do they want from a person wasn’t wanting something outside of their own control? Why would they be stricken with anxiety? So this goes back that I want you to notice the source of your anxiety. It’s because you want something and if that’s something that you want, is in your control, then level up and go crush it and make it happen. But if it’s outside of your control, let’s take a step back. Listen to a few of my other podcasts about taking a symbolic sabbatical, you know, breathing exercises, you know, surrounding yourself with people, I guess you know, virtually now in our situation that will help you through this. My favorite things to do are breathing exercises, whether it’s through meditation, yoga, or the Wim Hof Method. So, if you want to Google the Wim Hof Method, if you want to set yourself straight right away, do the Wim Hof Method. It’s w, h, o f. So, again, I’m going to ask you to ask yourself why you feel a certain way? And is it generating xiety? Is it good for you? In that answer,

the time is going to be no it’s not. Because you don’t have any control about a majority of the things. And again, the things that you have control over, get out there and crush it. Okay? Make it happen with the things that you have control. You need to get a podcast out. Get Get it dropped, get it out, you need to get a blog post out, get out if you need to call clients to keep them a little bit subtle during these times of turmoil, they make the frickin call. Okay, let’s do that. Let’s take a step back, take that really quick sabbatical. Let’s regather ourselves and understand that a lot of our anxiety we cannot do anything about. So just let it pass and get over it with some breathing exercises and relaxation. So that’s just my really quick Knowledge Nugget. I would love to hear your feedback at our Facebook page.
