Coach Fergie: [00:00:00] you don’t feel behind, you feel exposed. Hey squad, welcome to your weekly coaching knowledge nugget. I’m Coach Fergie with Time to Shine Today coaching. Will we help you bridge the gap from where you are to where you know you should be and we help you live a life of options and not obligations? TYou’re not behind in life. You’re just finally done lying to yourself and now you don’t know what to do with that truth. That feeling, you’ve got that tension, that frustration, that I should be further along. That’s not failure, that’s alignment, knocking, and you hesitating to answer the door. I was working with an entrepreneur pretty recently, smart driven, making money from the outside solid business, but inside he kept saying, man, I feel like I’m behind.
I feel like I missed something. So I stopped him and asked behind who, and he didn’t have an answer. ’cause the truth was he wasn’t behind. He was measuring himself against a version of success he didn’t even want anymore. See, here’s where people get stuck. They wake up to what they actually want, but they don’t move on it.
So now they’re [00:01:00] aware, but inactive and that gap right there, that’s where doubt lives. That’s where overthinking takes over. That’s where you start playing small just to stay comfortable. So we stripped it all down, no fluff, no extra strategy. Asked them one question. What’s the move you already know you need to make?
That you keep avoiding. He knew immediately. He didn’t hesitate, didn’t need to think about it. He just hadn’t committed to it. And I told him, you don’t need more confidence. You need to move and let that confidence show up and catch up. So within weeks, he made the hire, he’d been putting off, cleaned up his offer, started showing up like someone who actually believed in what he was building.
Not perfect, but decisive and everything that started shifting from there. So here’s the truth for you. You’re not behind. You’re just finally honest about what you want, and you haven’t acted on it yet. So stop negotiating with it. Make the move. Take the action.
Let the results teach you what’s next. ’cause the longer you sit there saying, I should be further along, the longer you stay where you are, you’re not behind, you’re just done lying to [00:02:00] yourself, now act like it.
